We encourage you to support Ibbamo’s all encompassing vision of inspiring and equipping young minds by focusing on Academic Excellence, Leadership, Social Responsibility and Entrepreneurship through the use of a variety of educational tools and mechanisms in order for them to create a better life for themselves, and a better continent for future generations.

Ibbamo Foundation is committed to nurturing youth leadership within South Africa and urges entities who share in its vision to become a key sponsor for the foundation and partner with us as we inspire and transform the lives of our young people. The foundation further seeks to emphasise the building of a strong self identity within young people that it will be engaging in its programmes.

Fundraising objectives include:

  • The provision of Leadership and Skills Development programmes thorough the “I DREAM” Winter and Summer Schools programme.
  • The provision of school based infrastructure development through the Building of 100 libraries in South Africa under the “I AM June 16” campaign.
  • The provision of solutions pertaining to the best practice of A+ schools through the “I AM SERVICE” discussion forum.

Get involved and help

STAKEHOLDER INVLOVEMENT

Any stakeholders of the Foundation who would like to volunteer their time and talent are very welcome, and are categorized as ‘ambassadors’, ‘friends of Ibbamo’, “partners of ibbamo’ and ‘associates’. These stakeholders are called upon for various activities of the Foundation, such as assisting in events, identifying sources of funds and even minor tasks such as writing ‘Thank you’ notes. The stakeholders assist in increasing the visibility of the Foundation and in promoting the Foundation through word of mouth. These diverse volunteers will allow the Foundation to have a greater impact without the use of the resources required by permanent staff.

VOLUNTEER INVLOVEMENT

It does not matter whether you have just a few hours on your hands or want to make a difference in the lives of others, volunteering your time is a great way to build skill, meet people, and have fun! Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Ibbamo Foundation. The foundation appreciates volunteers who offer their time, skills and their effort to help us develop the next generation of socially responsible leaders.

Help us raise money for the disadvantaged youth, volunteer at events, speak at functions, or help us in the office. Help in a project, we work with passionate people from all walks of life to motivate and empower the youth. Help raise awareness: Your voice can play a vital role in spreading the word about Ibbamo – whether it is in your local community, on Facebook, or with your friends.

In South Africa donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible in terms of Section 18A of the Income Tax Act, so when you give a contribution you may claim it from your taxable income.

The Ibbamo Foundation will display stewardship and sound management of funds in order to grow and attain stakeholder commitment. The Foundation will submit to an annual audit which will be available for stakeholders perusal if the need arises.
